#HP 990C DRIVER WINDOWS 10 DRIVERS#
I am skeptical that the updated list is here, because if I repeat the above 8 steps, the extra printer drivers that were added in step 8 are no longer there, and must be downloaded again. Can I copy the downloaded printer drivers from one PC,Īnd paste them into my PC with the HP DeskJet 995ck printer? I was led to believe that Windows stores these printer drivers here:Ĭ:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository On those other PCs, I am able to complete all of the above 8 steps. Here's what I would like to do: I have several PCs with Windows 10. I've searched online and tried several methods to "reset" Windows Update,īut I keep getting the same result ("try again later"). It says "Try again later." I've been trying for days. Here's the problem I've been having recently: In step 8, Windows Update is failing to update the printer list. I choose one of the similar printers and everything works perfectly. My printer is still not on this list, BUT some very similar printers are on the list. After a few minutes, more printers are added to the list. After it fails, I click on "The printer that I want isn't listed."ĥ) In the next dialog box, I choose "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings"Ħ) I choose "Use an existing port: USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB)" and click "Next"ħ)Windows now gives me a list of printers, but my printer isn't in the list, nor are any similar printers.Ĩ) I click on Windows Update.

Typically, here's howĤ) In the next dialog box, Windows will attempt to find my printer. I'm installing an old printer (HP DeskJet 995ck) on Windows 10 (64-bit), and HP has not produced a driver to support this printer with this operating system, so obviously it is not automatically recognized by my operating system.
